You are invited to the annual Codman Academy Showcase at The Huntington!
Friends, Family, and the Huntington and Codman Academy communities are invited to our 25th Annual Spring Showcase. A culmination of the year-round work of the entire 9th and 10th grade classes, the Spring Showcase is the original and longest-standing tradition of the founding partnership between The Huntington and Codman Academy Charter Public School.
The Huntington’s Education Department has been fully integrated into the School’s English Language Arts Curriculum for 9th and 10th grade since Codman opened its doors for the first time in the Fall of 2001. Using theater as a tool for developing necessary skills for young people to bring into the workforce, students learn public speaking skills, literature analysis and comprehension, self-confidence, teamwork, and creative collaboration and problem-solving skills. All students have four graduation requirements centered around this partnership. Participation in Poetry Out Loud Massachusetts in 9th grade, Monologue Performance as part of their August Wilson Residency Program in 10th grade, and two Spring Showcase Performances (one each year.)
Join us as the classes of 2028 and 2029 complete one of these four required performances!
Tickets are required for entry and all tickets are pay-what-you-want starting at $5.
