Plan Your Visit

Surprising laughs. New ideas. Heartfelt sobs. Shocks of recognition.

A great play is filled with pleasure. Every year at The Huntington, we look for seven to eight plays that engage us: comedies with sharp perspectives, drama with searing centers, stories with universal truths that stir, inspire, and leave us feeling more alive.

At The Huntington, your theatre-going experience begins long before the show and doesn’t have to end when the curtain goes down. The Huntington provides many opportunities for you to engage with us and our shows.

If you have questions about performances, reservations, subscriptions, or your season tickets, please call Ticketing Services at 617-266-0800 or write to tickets@huntingtontheatre.org.

Huntington Community Membership Initiative (HCMI)

The Huntington Community Membership Initiative is a program designed to reduce the cost barrier of attending live theatre for those with limited income and to diversify the audiences so they look more like the city of Boston.

  • Community Members can purchase tickets to any available seat at any performance without restriction for just $20.
  • Community Membership is free and available through partnerships with agencies and organizations that serve limited-income populations.
  • Enrolled members receive a membership card and a code to use when calling Ticketing Services or purchasing tickets online.

Are you a member of an organization serving low-income communities and interested in enrolling your members? Contact Oswaldo Pereira at opereira@huntingtontheatre.org.

Huntington Community Membership Initiative Receptions

All Community Members are invited to attend these pre-show receptions throughout the season. Receptions include complimentary food and drinks, and an opportunity to learn more about the shows and the program and to meet other interested theatergoers. Tickets to the performance should be purchased separately.

Anti-Racism

We are announcing an important step forward in The Huntington’s journey toward becoming a more equitable and actively anti-racist organization: the launch of our Anti-Racist Strategic Action Plan (ASAP).

The ASAP includes concrete policies and procedures to be implemented (and/or reinforced) across the entire organization. Each policy will work on its own and as part of a holistic institutional effort to catalyze and sustain The Huntington’s stated commitment to systemic change.

Land Acknowledgement

The Huntington acknowledges that our physical spaces stand on the occupied homeland of the Massachusett people. We’d like to begin by acknowledging the Massachusett Tribe from whom the Colony, Province and Commonwealth of Massachusetts have taken their name. We’d like to pay respect to the ancestral bloodline of the Massachusett Tribe and their descendants who still inhabit the land to this day. We honor and respect the many native peoples who are connected to this land, past, present and future, including the Nipmuc and Wampanoag peoples.

This land acknowledgment was created by the staff of The Huntington with input from the council of The Massachusett Tribe at Ponkapoag. To learn more about the tribe or to donate in support of their current programs, visit their website www.massachusetttribe.org
