Brendon Shapiro

Brendon Shapiro Pianist and conductor Brendon Shapiro champions the development of new vocal music in both the classical and musical theatre spheres. In addition to The Huntington (Fun Home, The Light in the Piazza) he has served as music director at ArtLab Productions, Fiddlehead Theatre Company, and Woodstock Playhouse. Brendon has been a regular at Boston Lyric Opera since 2019 and is also an alumnus of LA Opera’s young artist program where he worked with opera stars including Renée Fleming and Susan Graham. Other opera credits include San Francisco Opera, Opera Omaha, Odyssey Opera, Bard SummerScape Festival, Opera Maine, CLOC, and the Bar Harbor Music Festival. Brendon helps bring new works to life at Catalyst New Music which he co-founded with his husband in 2022.
