THE HUNTINGTON WELCOMES HILARIOUS COMEDY SHOW LAURA BENANTI: NOBODY CARES IN SPECIAL PRESENTATION IN FALL 2026

The North American tour of this hilarious, heartfelt one-woman comedy show from Tony Award winner Laura Benanti will take the stage at The Huntington next season

(BOSTON) – The Huntington will host the hilarious and heartfelt one-woman comedy show, Laura Benanti: Nobody Cares, starring and created by Tony Award winner Laura Benanti and directed by Annie Tippe,s with music direction and songs co-written by Todd Almond. Produced by rigor + ruckus, Jenny Gersten, and Ashley Melone & Nick Mills, this North American tour will run at the Calderwood Pavilion (527 Tremont St) from Thursday, October 22 to Sunday, October 25, 2026

Direct from an acclaimed run at Edinburgh Fringe and two sold-out Off-Broadway engagements comes Laura Benanti: Nobody Cares, a one-woman comedy show from the mind of Tony Award® winner Laura Benanti. Known for her dazzling Broadway performances and razor-sharp wit, Benanti takes the stage to share her hilarious, heartfelt, and sometimes brutally honest takes on motherhood, people pleasing, and the joys of aging. Blending side-splitting storytelling with original songs, New York Times Critic’s Pick Nobody Cares is a love letter to recovering people pleasers, mothers, and anybody working on themselves.

“I talk about my journey… being an ingenue to being a recovering ingenue; my people pleasing recovery program,” says star and creator Laura Benanti. “This is not a play. This has original comedy songs… but it really is just a conversation between me and the audience. It’s most akin to standup comedy. I want this to feel like a warm blanket. Just 62 minutes where I get to make you laugh.”

Called “laugh-out-loud funny” by DC Theater Arts and “a joyous exorcism for the people-pleaser within” by Interview Magazine, Laura Benanti: Nobody Cares comes to Boston after an acclaimed run at the Edinburgh Fringe in August 2025 and two sold-out off-Broadway engagements in 2024. The Quintessential Review raved about the recent Edinburgh Fringe production, “Tony Award winner Laura Benanti’s musical autobiography is utterly dazzling. Star power is often talked about, and rarely experienced with such force. Sit back and watch a master at work.”

Laura Benanti: Nobody Cares is part of The Huntington Selects, a series of curated touring productions The Huntington partners with to bring exciting and unique experiences to Boston audiences. This series is offered as an add-on to The Huntington’s subscription season, and Huntington FlexPass holders are able to redeem their tickets for these performances and events. Past selects productions include: Kim’s Convenience, My First Ex-Husband, The RESET, Mindplay, and Yippee Ki Yay
