What’s all the HYPE?
HYPE, or Huntington Young Patron Events (formerly 35 Below) is a program open to theatergoers aged 40 and under. Patrons can get $40 tickets to ANY Huntington show in ANY seat (use code DISCOUNT at seat selection) AND get access to a diverse range of special events, parties, backstage access and plenty more. We’ve got a full suite of events lined up this season!
Valid ID required. Tickets are subject to availability and some zone restrictions may apply. A service fee is applicable to all ticket purchases.

How to Reserve HYPE Tickets
ONLINE
- Go to huntingtontheatre.org/plays-and-events/
- Select BUY TICKETS under the show you are interested in.
- Select BUY next to the performance date and time you would like to attend.
- In the PROMO CODE box at the top right corner, type the code DISCOUNT, then click the arrow box next to it.
- You should now be able to select the $40 ticket option with your seat selection.

You can purchase HYPE tickets over the phone at 617-266-0800. Please check the box office hours of operation on our website before calling.
IN PERSON
HYPE tickets can be purchased in-person at one of our box offices. No ticket fees apply for in-person purchases! Please check the box office hours on our website before your arrival.

I qualify for HYPE AND Student tickets. Which one should I purchase?
You can purchase whichever suits your needs!
What happens when I turn 40?
You still qualify for HYPE until your turn 41. Afterwards, you won’t qualify for HYPE, but you’ll be included in our email list to receive special insider discounts.
What other ticket discounts do you offer?
Please visit our Discount Ticket Programs page. The Huntington offers many different affiliation and aged-based discounts off our ticket prices. Discounts can be applied online, in person, or over the phone. Patrons who purchase discounted tickets must pick up their tickets and provide proof of ID or eligibility at ticketing services before the show. All discounts are subject to availability.
Can I use a coupon or promo code along with the HYPE discount price?
Unless indicated otherwise in the fine print of the promotional deal, we will accept coupons and other promo codes on top of the HYPE discount!
Events
Do I need to purchase a show ticket at the HYPE rate to attend the events?
Yes, tickets can be purchased in person at the theatre box office, at 617-266-0800, or on our website at huntingtontheatre.org. Valid ID required. Student tickets will also be accepted with a valid ID. You can also make a Pay-What-You-Can donation and bring your receipt for admission. We will also be accepting donations at the door.
I want to bring my friend along! Do they need to purchase a ticket?
Yes, entry to the event is one person per HYPE ticket or donation.
How often do you do these events?
We usually hold a few events every season!
Do you have to be 40 years of age and under to attend?
The HYPE program/discount (formerly known as 35 Below) is now available to patrons 40 years of age and under. Our events tend to be 18+ with some at 21+
My budget is a little tight right now for theatre tickets; is there any way I can still attend?

If I purchased another ticket type (i.e., student, comp), and I’m 40 & under; can I attend the event?
Sure! Just bring your ticket or confirmation email and a valid ID.
