Kate Wisniewski

Kate Wisniewski (she/her) is an actor, teacher and audiobook narrator based in Ashland, OR.  She has appeared on stage at regional theatres throughout the country and is currently a member of the acting company at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. Kate is a founding member of upstart crow collective, a theatre company which produces classical plays with diverse casts of women and non-binary people, re-imaging these works for a contemporary audience.


Kate Wisniewski (she/her) is an actor, teacher and audiobook narrator based in Ashland, OR.  She has appeared on stage at regional theatres throughout the country and is currently a member of the acting company at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. Kate is a founding member of upstart crow collective, a theatre company which produces classical plays with diverse casts of women and non-binary people, re-imaging these works for a contemporary audience. upstart crow’s co-production of Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar is currently part of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival’s 90th anniversary season with Kate appearing as Caesar. Kate co-adapted with Rosa Joshi, BRING DOWN THE HOUSE, a two-part adaptation of Shakespeare’s Henry VI plays, produced by both Seattle Shakespeare Company (2017) and OSF in their curtailed 2020 season. Kate is a graduate of the American Repertory Theatre Institute at Harvard. She was a faculty member at Seattle University in the Performing Arts and Arts Leadership Department for over 18 years, and is a Certified Fitzmaurice Voicework instructor.
