Sondra R. Katz

Sondra R. Katz (General Manager) is in her nineteenth season at the Huntington. She has worked on Broadway, Off Broadway, and regionally as a stage manager, company manager, production manager and general manager. She spent the latter half of a ten-year career in NYC in the production office at the Brooklyn Academy of Music. Sondra moved to Boston in 1989. For 13 years she served as the Vice President/General Manager of Broadway In Boston, where she oversaw the day-to-day business operations of the Colonial and Wilbur Theatres and the Charles Playhouse. During this time she worked on presentations of many touring Broadway productions, coordinated the move of Blue Man Group into the Charles Playhouse, supervised the renovation of the Colonial Theatre, worked on the production of national tours of Hair and Jesus Christ Superstar, and served as executive producer for a national tour of A Chorus Line as well as the first Boston productions of Five Guys Named Moe and Hedwig and the Angry Inch. Sondra joined the Huntington in 2004 as Manager of the Stanford Calderwood Pavilion at the Boston Center for the Arts, becoming the Huntington’s General Manager in the spring of 2009.
