Kate Snodgrass The Huntington: radio play Overture in “Dream Boston.” Author of the Heideman Award-winning, much-anthologized play Haiku. Other plays include Observatory (1999 IRNE Award); The Glider (Natl. American Critics Association’s “Steinberg New Play Award” nominee, 2005 IRNE Award); short plays L’Air Des Alpes, Que Sera, Sera, Critics’ Circle, Valets, Wasteland, and Brickwork published by Cedar Press, Dramatic Publishing Company, Bakers Plays, Smith & Kraus, and Applause Theatre Books; one-acts Bark’s Dream and The Last Bark commissioned by Sleeping Weazel. The former Artistic Director of Boston Playwrights’ Theatre and the Boston Theater Marathon, Kate is StageSource’s 2001 “Theatre Hero” and was awarded Boston’s Theatre Critics’ Elliot Norton Award for Sustained Excellence in 2012.
