3/8/2016 Avenue of the Arts / BU Theatre

Join Constanza Romero, creative consultant, costume designer, and the executer of  The Estate of August Wilson, and Todd Kreidler, the show's director and co-conceiver, for a post-show discussion about the legacy of August Wilson following the 7:30pm performance

About August Wilson's How I Learned What I Learned

In this solo show, the late Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright August Wilson shares stories about his first few jobs, a stint in jail, his lifelong friends, and his encounters with racism, music, and love as a young poet in Pittsburgh’s Hill District. Directed by Todd Kreidler and featuring Eugene Lee, both longtime Wilson collaborators, this theatrical memoir charts one man’s journey of self-discovery through adversity, and what it means to be a black artist in America.

Approximate run time: 1 hour and 40 minutes without intermission.
