Uzo Aduba

Uzo Aduba previously appeared in the Huntington's production of A Civil War Christmas: An American Musical Celebration (2009). She was seen on Broadway as Toby in Coram Boy and Off Broadway as Amphiarus in The Seven (New York Theatre Workshop, also La Jolla Playhouse). She recently played Helena in the world premiere of Eclipsed (Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company), Tu in Sheila’s Day (Crossroads Theatre Company), and was part of The Muny’s production of Godspell this summer. Ms. Aduba received an IRNE Award nomination for her work in the title role of Dessa Rose for New Repertory Theatre. She is a Helen Hayes Award nominee for her role in Translations of Xhosa, performed at Olney Theatre Center and Boston Playwrights’ Theatre. Other roles include Yolanda in Crowns (The Denver Center for the Performing Arts), Trembling Sally in Abyssinia (Goodspeed Musicals), Mercutio in Romeo & Juliet (Pulse Ensemble Theatre), 365/365 (The Public Theater), Godspell (Papermill Playhouse), and the films Notes and Over There. She has been a featured vocalist at the White House and at Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris.
