Nick Offerman

Nick Offerman performed as Ignatius J. Reilly at the Huntington in A Confederacy of Dunces (2015)He received a BFA in theatre from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana, and then got his start in the Chicago theatre community, where he co-founded the Defiant Theatre, acting in several plays as well as serving as the company’s technical director. He has also worked extensively at Steppenwolf Theatre Company, Goodman Theatre, and Wisdom Bridge, among others. More recently he appeared in Adding Machine and Annapurna Off Broadway, and in eight shows with the Los Angeles based Evidence Room Theatre, where he has been a company member since 2000. Mr. Offerman is best known for the role of Ron Swanson on NBC’s “Parks &Recreation,” and his film credits include The Lego Movie; We’re the Millers; 21 & 22 Jump Street; Smashed; Me, Earl, and the Dying Girl; Kings of Summer; Casa de Mi Padre; The Men Who Stare at Goats; A Walk in the Woods; and many more. He can next be seen in season two of the FX series “Fargo.” In 2015, Mr. Offerman and his bride debuted their “Summer of 69: No Apostrophe” comedy show with a 24-city American tour, an effort that will continue to canvas Australia and New Zealand in 2016. He has penned two New York Times best-selling books, Paddle Your Own Canoe in 2013 and Gumption, released earlier this year. In his spare time, he can be found at his OffermanWoodshop(.com) in Los Angeles, building hand-crafted items ranging from fine furniture to canoes to ukuleles, or performing husbandry upon his goddess of a wife who is called Megan.
