Larry Coen

Larry Coen appeared as Norma Bates in Psyched (dir. Caitlin Lowans) at the Huntington in the Emerging America Festival. He has appeared in 20 of Ryan Landry’s plays. Other acting credits include Ten Block on the Camino Real, the world premiere of Tennessee Williams’The Remarkable Rooming House of Madame Lemonde (Beau Jest Moving Theatre), five Shakespeare plays on the Boston Common with Commonwealth Shakespeare Company, andShear Madness. He co-wrote the Broadway comedy Epic Proportions starring Kristin Chenoweth and Alan Tudyk. Mr. Coen’s directorial credits include Chinglish (Lyric Stage Company) and The Divine Sister (Red Barn Theatre). He is the artistic director for City Stage Company of Boston, which provides free arts education and performances for urban kids and families, and runs KidStage at Boston Children’s Museum. He has received Elliot Norton Awards for best ensemble in The Seafarer (SpeakEasy Stage Company), for his performances in Ryan Landry’s The Plexiglass Menagerie and Silent Night of the Lambs, and for his direction of The Phantom of the Oprah (Gold Dust Orphans) and The Divine Sister (SpeakEasy Stage Company).
