Lap Chi Chu

Lap Chi Chu previously designed Ruined (2011) and A Raisin in the Sun (2013) at the Huntington. He has designed for The Public Theater/NYSF, New York Theatre Workshop, Signature Theatre, Second Stage Theatre, Dance Theater Workshop, Performance Space 122, The Kitchen, Primary Stages, Juilliard Opera, Mark Taper Forum, Geffen Playhouse, Oregon Shakespeare Festival, La Jolla Playhouse, Berkeley Repertory Theatre, Denver Center for the Performing Arts, Arena Stage, Hartford Stage, South Coast Repertory, The Old Globe, The Shakespeare Theatre Company, and Dallas Theater Center. He is the recipient of a Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Career Achievement in Lighting Award, an Ovation Award, multiple Bay Area Theatre Critics Circle Awards, and a "Drammy" Award for Best Lighting. He is a member of the lighting design faculty at California Institute of the Arts.
