Gilbert Glenn Brown

Gilbert Glenn Brown previously appeared in A Civil War Christmas: An American Musical Celebration (2009) at the Huntington. He appeared in Ester Armahs’ Forgive Me (dir. Trezana Beverly, Midtown International Theatre Festival), Topdog/Underdog (dir. George C. Wolfe, Seattle Repertory Theatre/Circle Theatre Group), Miss Evers’ Boys (National Black Theatre Festival), Malcolm X and Direct From Death Row: The Scottsboro Boys (The Fountain Theatre), and DWB in Beverly Hills (dir. Lynne Hamilton, Matrix Theatre). His film and television credits include Dreamgirls (dir. Bill Condon), Rain, Children of the Struggle, Raising the Heights, Night Falls on Manhattan (dir. Sidney Lumet), “ER,” “The O.C.,” “Cold Case,” “Shark,” “CSI: Miami,” and “The Shield.” Mr. Brown received a B.F.A. from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts and has garnered 3 NAACP Theatre Award nominations, a COLSAC Best Lead Performance Award, and L.A. Drama Critics Circle and L.A. Weekly Theater Awards.
