Eli James

Eli James previously appeared in Becky Shaw (2010) at the Huntington. His one-man play William and the Tradesmen has been performed at numerous venues around New York, including Ars Nova and Breedingground’s Spring Fever Festival. Additional New York credits include Itamar Moses’s The Four of Us (Manhattan Theatre Club), Iphigenia at Aulis (Highwire Theatre), and writing and performing with the comedy group Quiet Library at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre and The Peoples Improv Theater. Regional credits include the world premiere of Jason Grote’s Maria/Stuart (Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company), the East Coast premiere of Tom Stoppard’s The Invention of Love (The Wilma Theater), and Gross Indecency: The Three Trials of Oscar Wilde (Philadelphia Theatre Company). He appears in the F/X series “Lights Out.” Mr. James’ essay “Finding the Beat” appears in the Random House anthology Twentysomething Essays by Twentysomething Writers, which made The Boston Globe Bestsellers List.
