Charles Coes

Charles Coes previously designed sound for A Confederacy of Dunces (2015) at the Huntington. He has also designed shows at Yale Repertory Theatre, Seattle Repertory Theatre, Berkeley Repertory Theatre, South Coast Repertory, Guthrie Theater, Shakespeare Theatre Company, ArtsEmerson, Wilma Theater, Two River Theater, North Shore Music Theatre, Williamstown Theatre Festival, HERE Arts Center, Ford’s Theatre, and Dallas Theater Center. He has toured with Phoenix Entertainment and The Acting Company and has also designed aerial and aquatic spectaculars for Royal Caribbean, an immersive show, Queen of the Night, at the Diamond Horseshoe, and collaborated on installations with artists Anne Hamilton, Abelardo Morel, and Luis Roldan. He has worked as an associate on more than 10 Broadway shows including Peter and the Starcatcher (Tony Award for Sound Design), In the Next Room (or The Vibrator Play), and Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike. Mr. Coes teaches at the Yale School of Drama.
