Ariel Shafir

Ariel Shafir previously appeared in Captors (2011) at the Huntington. He is a resident company member of Stage13/Studio13 in New York City where he is currently a writer and co-star of the upcoming internet series and the recent M'Larky series on Comedy Central. Mr. Shafir most recently played Mercutio in Gale Edwards's production of Romeo and Juliet (Chicago Shakespeare Theater) and John in David Mamet's two-hander A Life in the Theater opposite Andre De Shields and directed by Robert O'Hara (Alliance Theatre). His film credits include What Happens Next, Bride Wars, What Happens in Vegas, Dan Fogler's Hysterical Psycho, and the upcoming Don Peyote. His television credits inclued "30 Rock," "Army Wives," and "One Life to Live." Mr. Shafir is the recipient of the Barrymore Award for his performance in Mouawad's Scorched at The Wilma Theater and the Suzi Bass Award for his performance in Steve Martin's The Underpants at the Alliance Theatre. He holds a BFA from Boston University.
