Farah Alvin

Farah Alvin originated the role of Mabel in Pirates! (Or, Gilbert and Sullivan Plunder'd) at the Huntington,Goodspeed Opera House and Paper Mill Playhouse. Ms. Alvin has appeared on Broadway in Nine, The Look of Love, Saturday Night Fever, Grease! (also national tour), and A Christmas Carol (Madison Square Garden). Her Off Broadway credits include Missy in The Marvelous Wonderettes (Drama Desk nomination), Marcy in I Love You Because, Libe in Kuni-Leml, Linda in Cam Jansen, and Imogene in If You Give a Mouse a Cookie… Her recent regional credits include Mother in Ragtime (White Plains Performing Arts Center) and Marge in Breaking Up is Hard to Do (Ogunquit Playhouse). Ms. Alvin has appeared as a soloist with the national symphonies of the United States and Canada among others. Her numerous recordings include the original cast recording of The Marvelous Wonderettes, I Love You Because, and Frank Wildhorn’s concept album for Jekyll and Hyde. In addition to her theatre work, she is also an accomplished singer/songwriter, and her album of original folk/jazz music is entitled Someday.
