Erica Spyres

Erica Spyres appeared in Pirates! (Or, Gilbert and Sullivan Plunder'd) (2009) at the Huntington. Her portrayal of Clara Johnson in the Boston premiere of The Light in the Piazza (SpeakEasy Stage Company) garnered her an IRNE Award for best supporting actress in a musical. She was directed by Robert Westenberg in A Little Night Music (as Anne Egerman), alongside Kim Crosby. Credits in Boston and Missouri include Baby, it’s Cold Outside!; Rosa/Deirdre in The Mystery of Edwin Drood; Philia in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum; Hope in Urinetown; Johanna in Sweeney Todd; and Peggy in The Taffetas. Ms. Spyres has worked with OnSite videos as a spokesperson for several websites and is a seasoned jingle singer. She graduated with highest honors from Drury University, where she studied voice, violin, and theatre.
