David Drake

David Drake previoulsy appeared in Ryan Landry's "M" (2013) at the Huntington. He is an actor, writer, and director based in Provincetown, Massachusetts. This winter he debuted Tawny, Tell Me True at New York’s Laurie Beechman Theatre (dir. Robert La Fosse). His Off Broadway credits include the original cast of Pageant and Language of Their Own (The Public Theater/NYSF), Boys in the Band (Lucille Lortel Theatre), Vampire Lesbians of Sodom, where he replaced Charles Busch for 856 performances, and The Night Larry Kramer Kissed Me (Obie Award). His directorial credits include The Beast of Taylor Mac (The Public Theater/NYSF and Yale Repertory Theatre) and the New York premiere of The Lily’s Revenge (HERE Arts Center), which he developed at the Sundance Theatre Lab. Most recently, Mr. Drake has directed and acted alongside Ryan Landry in The Divine Sister. His film and television credits include Philadelphia, Longtime Companion, “The Good Wife,” and “Law & Order.” Mr. Drake was named one of Cape Cod Magazine’s People to Watch in 2013 for his role as Tawny Heatherton in Tawny, Tell Me True.
