Play Submission Information
The Huntington Theatre Company will accept unsolicited submissions from agencies in the United States‚ Canada‚ and the UK. Unsolicited submissions from writers without agents will not be accepted. However‚ the Huntington Theatre Company has made a strong commitment to fostering the work of local writers‚ and to that end‚ the Literary Department will accept unsolicited‚ unagented scripts from playwrights who are residents of the Greater Boston region. For these purposes‚ the Boston region includes all of Massachusetts and Rhode Island. We accept full scripts only — no queries‚ summaries‚ or sample pages‚ please.
If you wish us to return your script‚ please include a self–addressed stamped mailer with correct postage. Scripts unaccompanied by SASEs will not be returned. Due to the large volume of submissions‚ there is a 6–12 month reading time for all scripts. Scripts may be sent to:
