About the Company

Debra Monk Debra Monk* (Woman) appeared on Broadway in Reckless; Thou Shalt Not; Ah, Wilderness!; Steel Pier (Tony nomination); Company; Picnic (Tony nomination); Redwood Curtain (Tony Award); Nick and Nora; Prelude to a Kiss; and Pump Boys and Dinettes (co-author). Off Broadway appearances include Mike Nichols’ The Seagull at The Public Theater/NYSF’s Delacorte Theater, The Time of the Cuckoo (OBIE Award), Ancestral Voices, Death Defying Acts, Three Hotels, Assassins, and Oil City Symphony (co-author, Drama Desk Award). Regional appearances include Three Hotels (Helen Hayes Award) at the Kennedy Center, and work at Seattle Repertory Theatre, The Old Globe, Yale Repertory Theatre, Bay Street Theatre, Actors Theatre of Louisville, and Williamstown Theatre Festival, among others. Her films include Palindromes; Milwaukee, Minnesota; Briar Patch; Center Stage; The Devil’s Advocate; In & Out; The Substance of Fire; Extreme Measures; The Bridges of Madison County; Jeffrey; Fearless; Prelude to a Kiss; Reckless; Mrs. Winterbourne; Bed of Roses; and she will soon be seen in Darkwater and The Producers. Television appearances include “The Music Man,” “Law & Order,” “Ellen Foster,” “Redwood Curtain,” “Nero Wolfe” (recurring), “Women and Wallace” (American Playhouse), “The Becky Bell Story,” “Eloise,” and Katie Sipowicz in “NYPD Blue” (Emmy Award).
