
TODD KREIDLER (Dramaturg) has been working on
Gem of the Ocean since its premiere at the Goodman Theatre. He began working with August Wilson during the 1999 world premiere of
King Hedley II at Pittsburgh Public Theater and moved on with the production as it was developed in regional theatres and on Broadway. He directed the world premiere of Mr. Wilson’s one-man show
How I Learned What I Learned which will open in New York next fall. He also worked with Mr. Wilson developing the screenplay adaptation of
Fences. Mr. Kreidler spent three seasons at Pittsburgh Public Theater where he directed
Macbeth and
Twelfth Night for their Young Company and assistant directed several mainstage productions with Artistic Director Edward Gilbert. A freelance drama critic for
The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, he was a Critic Fellow at The Eugene O’Neill Theater Center’s National Critics Institute in 1997. Mr. Kreidler makes his home in Jersey City, New Jersey with his fiancée, Erin Annarella.
