
BENJAMIN MORDECAI (Consulting Producer) was most recently represented on Broadway by David Henry Hwang’s new adaptation of the Rodgers and Hammerstein musical
Flower Drum Song and the revival of August Wilson’s
Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom. In addition, he has produced David Henry Hwang’s
Golden Child, August Wilson’s
King Hedley II and
Seven Guitars, Anna Deavere Smith’s
Twilight: Los Angeles, 1992, and served as the Executive Producer on
Angels in America. He has been a producer of 17 Broadway productions, 15 of which have been nominated for the Tony Award. Mr. Mordecai is Associate Dean of the Yale School of Drama and served as Managing Director of the Yale Repertory Theatre from 1982 to 1993. Mr. Mordecai has received numerous awards including four Tonys, two NAACP Theatre Awards, and the Robert Whitehead Award for outstanding commercial producing. Mr. Mordecai is a partner of Producers Four, who will be presenting
Brooklyn, The Musical this fall on Broadway.
