
Chris Parry (Lighting Designer) has designed internationally for 29 years, earning 24 major awards and nominations. Mr. Parry’s credits include over 150 designs worldwide including productions on Broadway, at the Royal Shakespeare Company and Royal National Theatre in England, and designs for Los Angeles Opera, Welsh National Opera, Opera Theatre of Lucca (Italy), as well as many regional theatres. Notable productions include
The Who’s Tommy (Tony, Olivier, Dora, NY Drama Desk, NY Outer Critics Circle, and LA Drama Critics Awards);
The Secret Garden; Jane Eyre; Not About Nightingales (Tony Award nomination, NY Drama Desk Award);
Translations; Les Liaisons Dangereuses (Tony Award nomination, NY Drama Desk Award); and
A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Olivier Award nomination). Mr. Parry is the recipient of the 1994 Lighting Designer of the Year Award from Lighting Dimensions International. He is a professor and head of design at the University of California, San Diego and owner and principal of Axiom Lighting Inc., an entertainment and architectural lighting design company in San Diego.
