
Heather Lea Anderson* (Elizabeth Newman-Orr) recently appeared Off Broadway in
Between Us at Manhattan Theatre Club (dir. Christopher Ashley) as performing understudy for Daphne Rubin-Vega. Her regional work includes
Miss Julie (Julie) at Two River Theatre and
A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Private Eyes, No Exit, and
Bash at Yale’s Summer Cabaret. Her films include
Devolving and
Crazy Baby (reading with Angelica Torn and John Heard at the Hudson Valley Film Festival). Ms. Anderson received her M.F.A. from the Yale School of Drama where she performed in
Alcestis, Othello, King Lear, and original productions of
Know Dog (by Kathryn Walat),
The Sungatherers (by Tim Acito), and . . . and
Jesus Moonwalks on the Mississippi (by Marcus Gardley). She also understudied productions of
Heaven (dir. Evan Yionoulis),
Fighting Words (dir. Liz Diamond), and
Betty’s Summer Vacation (dir. Doug Hughes) at Yale Repertory Theatre. Ms. Anderson was a recipient of the Yale School of Drama’s Oliver Thorndike Acting Award, 2003.
