The Corn is Green

by Emlyn Williams
Directed by Nicholas Martin

1/9/2009 – 2/8/2009

BU Theatre - Mainstage

Idealistic and hardnosed schoolteacher Miss Moffat (played by Kate Burton) creates the first school in a Welsh coal-mining town, and helps an illiterate teenager (play by Ms. Burton's son, Morgan Ritchie) transform from bully to brilliant student.

Nicholas Martin returns to direct this heartwarming classic with his quintessential warmth and humor.

"Gorgeous! A real pleasure! A wonderful story. Heartwarming and deeply satisfying on a cold winter night. Kate Burton is charming, intelligent, and spirited as Miss Moffat and Morgan Ritchie burns with a quiet intense power. Will LeBow contributes an amusing portrayal of the Squire and Kristine Nielsen is a hoot."The Boston Globe
