
Thomas M. Kauffman (Production Stage Manager) has stage managed 19 Huntington productions during the past nine years. Highlights include The Road Home: Re-Membering America; The Real Thing; 36 Views; Burn This; What the Butler Saw; Ain't Misbehavin'; Ten Unknowns; Mary Stuart (Elliot Norton Award for Best Production); A Midsummer Night's Dream; Gross Indecency; Ah, Wilderness!; and Cabaret Verboten. For the American Repertory Theatre, he has stage managed The Miser (Elliot Norton Award for Best Production), Othello, The Doctor's Dilemma, and the world premiere of Philip Glass' The Sound of a Voice. During the summer, he supervises production for the Commonwealth Shakespeare Company, most recently mounting their production of The Taming of the Shrew on the Boston Common. He also recently served as associate production manager for The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee in Boston. Previously, Mr. Kauffman was the resident stage manager at the Trinity Repertory Company and production manager of the Pennsylvania Stage Company. Other regional credits include Williamstown Theatre Festival, New York Stage & Film, Pittsburgh Public Theater, Missouri Repertory Theatre, and the U.S. tour of Sir Peter Hall's production of As You Like It. Mr. Kauffman serves on the faculty of the Boston University School of Theatre Arts.
