
Jeremiah Kissel (Mervyn Kant) has appeared with the Huntington in the world premiere of Sonia Flew, as Dr. Shpigelsky in A Month in the Country, and as Mr. Vanislaw, the flasher, in Betty’s Summer Vacation. Also for the Huntington, he understudied for both Nathan Lane (Butley) and the role of Richard Nixon (Nixon’s Nixon). Mr. Kissel has been a member of the American Repertory Theatre in Cambridge, the West Side Repertory Theatre in New York City, The Lyric Stage Company of Boston, and The Commonwealth Shakespeare Company, where he recently appeared on the Common as Ghost/Player/Gravedigger in Hamlet. He is a twenty-five year veteran of Boston’s professional stages and is the recipient of the first annual Outstanding Boston Actor Award at the Elliot Norton Award ceremonies in 1990, an IRNE Award for Best Supporting Actor in 1999, and in June of 2003, was presented with the Norton Prize for Sustained Excellence.
