The Huntington Theatre Company is a member of the League of Resident Theatres (LORT), an association of the nation's leading resident professional theatres; Theatre Communications Group, a national service organization for the nonprofit professional theatre; and StageSource, a regional alliance of theatre artists and producers.

This theatre operates under an agreement between the League of Resident Theatres and Actors' Equity Association, the Union of Professional Actors and Stage Managers in the United States.

The Director is a member of the Society of Stage Directors and Choreographers, Inc., an independent national labor union.
