
Robert Kaplowitz (Composer, Sound Designer) has design and/or composition credits that include Heather McDonald’s An Almost Holy Picture (Roundabout Theatre Company, Broadway); Tracy Scott Wilson’s The Story (The Public Theater/NYSF, Long Wharf Theatre, Lucille Lortel Nomination); Neal LaBute’s Fat Pig and The Distance From Here (MCC Theatre); Kia Corthron’s Light Raise the Roof (New York Theatre Workshop); William Hamilton’s White Chocolate (The Culture Project); Emily Mann’s Meshugah (Naked Angels); the Mabou Mines Residency of Request Concert with Joanna P. Adler; Jose Crúz Gonzales’ September Shoes (Geva Theatre Center); Claudia Shear’s Dirty Blonde (Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park); and the musical Five Course Love (Minetta Lane Theatre); as well as the national tours of Promises, Promises and Leader of the Pack. His current productions include Confessions of a Mormon Boy, The God Committee, and, coming soon to Boston, the performance piece Christine Jorgenson Reveals. Mr. Kaplowitz was the first professional sound designer for the O’Neill Playwrights Conference, a role he fulfilled from 2000-2004, and is producing artistic director for the Relentless Theatre Company.
