Kris Stone(Scenic Designer) designs sets primarily for New York City theatre, but also works regionally and internationally. Her designs have been seen at the Abbey Theatre in Dublin, Portland Stage Company, The Old Globe, Magic Theatre, Chicago Opera Theater, The Joyce Theater, Opera Festival of New Jersey, Cherry Lane Theatre, Yale Repertory Theatre, the past five seasons at Shakespeare & Company, and many Off Broadway productions. Her upcoming and current venues include Edinburgh International Festival, Berkeley Repertory Theatre, San Jose Repertory Theatre, Long Wharf Theatre, Alliance Theatre, and the 30th Anniversary Humana Festival at the Actors Theatre of Louisville. Ms. Stone was awarded the TCG/NEA Award for set design, nominated for The Irish Times Award for stage design in Dublin, and was recently awarded “Best Scenic Design 2004 – 2005” by Philadelphia Weekly. She has taught set design at Vassar College, New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, and Swarthmore College, and is a graduate of the Yale School of Drama.
