
Daniel Aukin (Director) has been artistic director of Soho Repertory Theatre in New York City since 1999, where he has directed Everything Will Be Different by Mark Schultz (world premiere, Oppenheimer Award winner); Suitcase by Melissa James Gibson (which he also directed at the La Jolla Playhouse); Molly’s Dream by Maria Irene Fornes (OBIE Award for production); [sic] by Melissa James Gibson (OBIE Award for direction); Quincy Long’s The Year of the Baby (world premiere); and Mac Wellman’s Cat’s-Paw (world premiere). Mr. Aukin has also directed Alexandra Cunningham’s No.11 (Blue and White) for The Play Company, Ionesco’s The Chairs for the Guthrie Theater, and Melissa James Gibson’s Brooklyn Bridge for Minneapolis’ The Children’s Theatre Company. Mr. Aukin will next direct Theresa Rebeck’s The Scene for New York Theatre Workshop.
