Elisa Bocanegra* (Jacquanetta) starred in Quiara Alegria Hudes’ The Adventures of Barrio Grrrl! at New York’s Summer Play Festival. Her other New York credits include productions at Manhattan Theatre Club, INTAR Theatre, and Repertorio Español. Most recently she received critical acclaim for her portrayal of Ifigenia in Electricidad at the Mark Taper Forum. She has also worked at South Coast Repertory, Pasadena Playhouse, Cornerstone Theater Company, Crossroads Theater, and Williamstown Theatre Festival. Her film and television credits include Girlfight (Best Film, Sundance Film Festival), White Oleander, Spun, Shelf Life (Best Film, Dances With Films Festival), “Gilmore Girls,” “Judging Amy,” “Illeanarama” with Illeana Douglas, “Undeclared,” “NYPD Blue,” “Resurrection Blvd.,” “Taina,” and “Touched by sn Angel.” She trained in New York with William Esper and currently studies with Larry Moss in Los Angeles.
