Alexander Dodge


Alexander Dodge previously designed Rapture, Blister, Burn, Good People, The Miracle at Naples, Boleros for the Disenchanted, Brendan, Present Laughter, and many others at the Huntington. His Broadway credits include Present Laughter (Tony Award nomination), Old Acquaintance, Butley, and Hedda Gabler. His Off Broadway credits include Rapture, Blister, Burn and Maple and Vine (Playwrights Horizons); Modern Terrorism, All New People, Trust, and The Water’s Edge (Second Stage Theatre); The Understudy (Roundabout Theatre Company); Paris Commune and Measure for Pleasure (The Public Theater); Observe the Sons of Ulster... (Lucille Lortel Award) and Chaucer in Rome (Lincoln Center Theater); Anthony and Cleopatra (Theatre for a New Audience); and Force Continuum (Atlantic Theater Company). Internationally he designed All New People in London's West End. His opera credits include Il Trittico (Deutsche Opera Berlin), Cosi Fan Tutte (Minnesota Opera), Der Waffenschmied (Munich), Der fliegende Holländer (Würzburg), and Lohengrin (Budapest). He is the recipient of two Elliot Norton Awards, three IRNE Awards, and a Connecticut Critics Circle Award. Mr. Dodge received his training from Yale University.
