  • 2014 Spotlight Spectacular

    The 2014 Spotlight Spectacular honoring Huntington Trustee John Spooner and The Jungle Book / Candide director Mary Zimmerman was held Monday, April 28 at the Boston Park Plaza Castle. The event featured live performances by André De Shields, Kevin Carolan, Lauren Molina, and Geoff Packard, and raised over $980,000 to support the Huntington's renowned education and community programs.

    In 2004, the Huntington Theatre Company opened the Calderwood Pavilion at the BCA, Boston's first new theatre in over 75 years. Over the past eight seasons, our vision to create a second artistic home for the Huntington and a much-needed resource for our local theatre community has transformed a neighborhood and Boston's cultural landscape.

    Boston actress Karen MacDonald has found an artistic home in Boston and at the Huntington.   • Kirsten Greenidge: Inspired by the Huntington

    In 1986, Kirsten Greendige attended a student matinee performance of Wilson's Joe Turner's Come and Gone. The experience was a seminal one for her, one that inspired her to become a playwright. 16 years later, her play The Luck of the Irish broke Huntington records when it made its world premiere at the Calderwood Pavilion at the BCA / South End.
