2009-2010 Workshops

Young Voices Playwriting Workshop


Interested in storytelling? How about writing? Ever thought about creating your own play?

Work with professional playwrights to create your first script.

WHEN?

    Weeks 1 & 2
    • Monday - Wednesday, 3:30 - 6pm
    • January 25-27 and February 1-3
    • Meet with a playwright/teaching artist and members of the Education staff
    Weeks 3 - 8
    • Write on your own, meeting twice with your playwriting mentor
    Week 9
    • Return to the Huntington to share your script draft
    • April 15Young Voices concludes with a staged reading of scenes from your work-in-progress.

HOW MUCH? $100


Each student who completes any of these workshops will receive a STUDENT CLUB CARD that entitles him or her to two free tickets to each Huntington Theatre Company production until age 21.
