YOUNG VOICES PLAYWRITING WORKSHOP
APPLICATIONS ARE NOW BEING ACCEPTED FOR 2007-2008
The Huntington launched the Young Voices Playwriting Workshop to incorporate the Huntington's growing institutional commitment to new playwrights and new works into our youth programs. This eight-week workshop mirrors the process of professional play development. Participants attend an intensive workshop with the Huntington's Literary Manager, followed by ongoing one-on-one mentoring by other local playwrights as the students draft and revise a short play. The program culminates with a staged reading of the students' work.
