This thoroughly entertaining two-week class (Mon.-Fri.) includes acting, storytelling, movement, music, behind-the-scenes tours and theatre-related arts and crafts. The week ends with a presentation for family and friends. Classes take place at the Calderwood Pavilion at the BCA, 527 Tremont Street in the South End.

The Little Actor Ages 8-10
This workshop encourages young children to bring their vivid imagination and creative movement to the stage. Beginning with fun physical, vocal, and facial warm-ups done to lively music, children move into basic improvisational exercises to expand their "play" techniques in a more theatrical way. Children will learn to use their bodies and faces to express emotions, play creative games, and make theatre-related crafts such as masks and props.

Date: Mon. - Fri., July 28 — Aug. 8
Time: 9:30am — 4pm
Cost: $700. Two children from the same family, $1,300. Huntington subscribers get $25 off each registration!

The Young Actor Ages 11-13
This workshop is for older children to focus their natural acting ability in a more constructive way. With imaginative vocal and physical warm-ups, children learn how to project their voices and move their bodies for the stage. Inventive theatre games encourage them to create scenes and characters, explore emotions, and work with props to discover new ways of expressing themselves. On a theatre tour, children will explore what it's like to be on a real stage.

Date: Mon. - Fri., Jly 28 — Aug. 8
Time: 9:30am — 4pm
Cost: $700. Two children from the same family, $1,300. Huntington subscribers get $25 off each registration!
