Celebrating Our Partnership
with Boston University
The Huntington was founded in 1982 by Boston University. And although we've been a separate non-profit company for more than 22 years, our partnership with B.U. remains robust and mutually beneficial.
B.U.'s School of Theatre is one of the best professional training programs in the country, and the Huntington's in-residence status supplements the School's high-caliber faculty. In addition to on-stage experience, assistantships are offered each season in design, directing, stage management, production, and business administration. For more information, visit bu.edu/cfa/theatre.
In exchange, the Huntington receives generous annual support from the University. We also get to use the B.U. Production equipped scenery and costume shops, and the Boston University Theatre, our beautiful mainstage.
When the Huntington is not performing at the B.U. Theatre, student productions are staged. Subscribers to the Huntington receive discounted tickets to all B.U. student productions. Tickets can be obtained by calling the Box Office at 617 266-0800 or visiting BostonTheatreScene.com.
