Good Libations

For a show called The Cocktail Hour, it should come as no surprise that there's a whole lotta drinkin' goin' on over the course of the evening. It would be irresponsible* of us to encourage you to keep the pace every time that Ann utters "Just a splash more," so instead we did the next best thing. We've teamed up with some of Boston's best cocktail bars to create a few inspired drinks for you to enjoy during your own cocktail hour before the show.

And so without any further ado, I would like to introduce to you the appropriately-named "The Cocktail Hour," the first official cocktail of The Cocktail Hour (got all that?), courtesy of our friends at The Independent in Union Square. Bar manager Thea Engst developed this refreshing concoction of gin, dry vermouth, Benedictine, and orange bitters. But once the play is gone, so is the booze, so swing on by The Independent any time before December 15 and whisper to the barkeep that "The Huntington sent you" in that way they do in movies.

Enjoy / drink responsibly / enjoy, and make sure to check back here for more official Cocktail Hour cocktails from Boston bars!

*Also that our liquor license prohibits us from serving spirits (only beer and wine), and that encouraging binge drinking at our licensed venue might not be entirely legal, or would at least put our TIPS-trained staff in an awkward moral catch-22.
