Yi Zhao

Yi Zhao previously designed Becoming Cuba at the Huntington. He has Off Broadway credits that include Republic and Beckett Solos (Hoi Polloi), Blown Youth (New Georges), She Talks to Beethoven (JACK), Luz (La MaMa ETC), and The Hotel Colors (The Bushwick Starr). His regional theatre projects include Much Ado About Nothing (presented by Princeton University at the McCarter Theatre Center), The Bakkhai (Bard College / Fisher Center for the Performing Arts), In a Year with 13 Moons (Yale Repertory Theatre), The Glass Menagerie (Theatreworks), and A Doctor in Spite of Himself (Yale Repertory Theatre and Berkeley Repertory Theatre). His music projects include Anthony Braxton’s Trillium J (Tri-Centric Foundation / Roulette), Paola Prestini’s Labyrinth Installation Concertos (Beth Morrison Projects / Krannert Center), and Matthew Suttor’s La Prose du Transsibérien (Yale University / Beinecke Library). yi-zhao.com
