Michael Tisdale is a professional writer and actor. His New York theatre credits include The Secret Agenda of Trees (Wild Project), The Private Lives of Eskimos (The Committee), Waste (Theatre for a New Audience), Never the Sinner (John Houseman Theatre), Summer People (The Actors Company Theatre), and I Love Li’l Peeg (The Rude Mechanicals Theatre Company). Regional credits include Picasso at the Lapin Agile (Syracuse Stage), Camille (Bard College), The Glass Menagerie (Actors Theatre of Louisville), Fraulein Else (Berkeley Repertory Theatre, La Jolla Playhouse, Long Wharf Theatre, and McCarter Theatre), Romeo and Juliet (Center Theatre Group), and Towards Zero (Alley Theatre). Television and film credits include “Law & Order,” “Third Watch,” and Coverage. Mr. Tisdale received his training at The Juilliard School. As a writer, his works have been developed and/or produced at or by Atlantic Theater Company, Rising Phoenix Repertory, New York University, hotINK, Hartford Stage, Lincoln Center Theater Directors Lab, Theatre Row, HERE Arts Center, and Cleveland Public Theatre. This past summer, he directed a short film starring Bill Irwin and Mercedes Ruehl based on his play Goldstar, Ohio.
