Larry Yando’s regional credits include Candide (Goodman Theatre and Shakespeare Theatre Company, director, Mary Zimmerman), A Christmas Carol (Goodman Theatre); Cymbeline, The Tempest, Timon of Athens, All’s Well That Ends Well, King Lear, Henry IV Parts I and II, and Antony and Cleopatra, (Chicago Shakespeare Theater); Travesties, An Ideal Husband, Ghosts, Electra, Measure for Measure, The Importance of Being Earnest, and Travels with My Aunt (Court Theatre); Mother Courage and Fake (Steppenwolf Theatre Company); as well as productions at the Writers’ Theatre, Royal George Theatre, Milwaukee Repertory Theater, and Madison Repertory Theatre. Mr. Yando appeared in the national tour of The Lion King as Scar. Awards include Chicago’s Best Actor (Chicago Magazine, Chicago Tribune, and Chicago Reader), Excellence in the Arts (Theatre School at DePaul), and a 2010 Lunt-Fontanne Fellowship.
