Junghyun Georgia Lee is a Korean born designer based in New York. Her designs include Kirsten Greenidge's Milk Like Sugar and the world premiere of Smart People at the Huntington, The North Pool (Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park), Red (Triad Stage), The Mountaintop (Triad and Playmakers Repertory Company), Max and Ruby (Lucille Lortel Theatre), The Water’s Edge (Second Stage Theatre), The Misanthrope (Dallas Theater Center), American Hwangap (The Play Company), Radio Golf and Gem of the Ocean (Milwaukee Repertory Theater, Interborough Repertory Theater, Syracuse Stage, and Geva Theatre Center), The Circle, Winter’s Tale, The Merchant of Venice, Julius Caesar, and Candida (American Players Theatre), The Price (Center Stage), and O Lovely Glowworm (Portland Center Stage, 2005 Drammy Award for Best Costumes). Her international credits include Fiddler on the Roof (Musical Heaven, Korea), Ariadne auf Naxos (Seongnam Arts Center, Korea), and Sunday, Again! (Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet, Oslo). She has worked with choreographers such as Jo Stromgren, Hofesh Shechter, Crystal Pyte, and Shen Wei, and designed for productions at Williamstown Theatre Festival, Berkshire Theatre Group, Shakespeare & Company, The Juilliard School, and the Humana Festival of New American Plays. Ms. Lee holds an MFA from Yale School of Drama, is a founding member of Chance Magazine, and a member of New Neighborhood, a theatre and television company.
