Erica Spyres’ portrayal of Clara Johnson in the Boston premiere of The Light in the Piazza (SpeakEasy Stage Company) garnered her an IRNE Award for best supporting actress in a musical. She was directed by Robert Westenberg in A Little Night Music (as Anne Egerman), alongside Kim Crosby. Credits in Boston and Missouri include Baby, it’s Cold Outside!; Rosa/Deirdre in The Mystery of Edwin Drood; Philia in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum; Hope in Urinetown; Johanna in Sweeney Todd; and Peggy in The Taffetas. Ms. Spyres has worked with OnSite videos as a spokesperson for several websites and is a seasoned jingle singer. She graduated with highest honors from Drury University, where she studied voice, violin, and theatre.
