Elizabeth Hope Clancy has designed extensively in the United States and London for theatre, opera, and dance. She worked with Arthur Miller on two of his last plays, The Ride Down Mt. Morgan (Broadway) and Resurrection Blues (Guthrie Theater). Other Broadway credits include Passing Strange, Edward Albee’s The Goat or, Who is Sylvia?, and Bobbi Boland starring Farrah Fawcett. In London, she designed A Few Good Men (West End) and Tony Kushner’s Homebody/Kabul (Chelsea Theatre). Off Broadway highlights include Suzan-Lori Parks’ In the Blood (The Public Theater), Waiting for Godot (Classic Stage Company), The Last of the Thorntons (Signature Theatre), Adam Rapp’s Finer Noble Gases (Rattlestick Playwrights Theater), and Hamlet (Theater for a New Audience). Her designs have appeared at all of the leading regional theatres. Favorite opera credits include Lukas Foss’ Griffelkin (Manhattan School of Music) and Don Giovanni (Wolf Trap Opera Company). Ms. Clancy has been the resident costume designer for Sally Silvers & Dancers since 1997 and has worked with choreographers Yvonne Rainer, Karen Sherman, and Pat Catterson.
