Derek McLane previously designed Becky Shaw and Bad Dates for the Huntington. He also designed the New York premiere of Becky Shaw for Second Stage Theatre. His Broadway credits include Ragtime, 33 Variations, I Am My Own Wife, Grease, The Pajama Game, Lestat, Little Women, The Women, The Threepenny Opera, Present Laughter, London Assurance, Holiday, Honour, and The Three Sisters. Off Broadway credits include Ruined, Voysey Inheritance, Intimate Apparel, Hurlyburly, Modern Orthodox, Aunt Dan and Lemon, The Creadeux Canvas, What the Butler Saw, Servicemen, East is East, SubUrbia, The Waverly Gallery, Troilus and Cressida (Shakespeare in the Park), Hello Again, Saturday Night, Captains Courageous, Time and Again, Violet, and Rafta, Rafta… Additional credits include A Touch of the Poet (American Repertory Theater), Griller and The Visit (Goodman Theatre), Glengarry Glen Ross (Steppenwolf Theatre Company, Jefferson Award nomination), and The Libertine (Steppenwolf Theatre Company). Mr. McLane designed the entire Sondheim Celebration at The Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. He has designed productions for most of the major resident theatre and operas companies across the country and received the 1997 and 2004 OBIE Awards for Sustained Excellence in Scenic Design, the 2003 Michael Merritt Award in Chicago, has been nominated for many Drama Desk Awards, and received the 2004, 2005, and 2007 Lucille Lortel Awards for Scenic Design, the 2009 Henry Hewes Design Award, and the 2009 Tony Award for Best Scenic Design of a Play.
