Daniel Ostling returns to the Huntington having designed A Civil War Christmas. An ensemble member of Lookingglass Theatre Company in Chicago, he designs extensively for Mary Zimmerman including Metamorphoses (2002 Tony Award nomination) and La Sonnambula and Lucia di Lammermoor at The Metropolitan Opera. He has worked at numerous regional theatres including Lincoln Center Theater, Brooklyn Academy of Music, The Public Theater/NYSF, Playwrights Horizons, McCarter Theatre, Goodman Theatre, Steppenwolf Theatre Company, American Conservatory Theater, Berkeley Repertory Theatre, La Jolla Playhouse, Mark Taper Forum, Seattle Repertory Theatre, Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Arena Stage, Alley Theatre, Hartford Stage, Alliance Theatre, Syracuse Stage, Actors Theatre of Louisville, Dallas Theater Center, South Coast Repertory, California Shakespeare Festival, and Portland Center Stage, among others. Internationally his work has been seen in London and in Australia. He’s an associate professor at Northwestern University in Chicago.
