Ben Emerson has been the sound supervisor at the Huntington for 17 years. He has also been designing sound in the Boston area and teaching sound design at Boston University’s School of Theatre. Mr. Emerson has designed sound at Trinity Repertory Theatre, Merrimack Repertory Theatre, Capital Repertory Theatre, Gloucester Stage Company, Stoneham Theatre, Centastage, Sugàn Theatre Company, SpeakEasy Stage Company, Cambodian Living Arts, Emerson Stage, and Boston Playwrights’ Theatre. In 2009, Ben was awarded an IRNE Award for Sound Design for SpeakEasy Stage Company’s production of The Seafarer, and in 2010 he was awarded an IRNE Award for Sound Design for the Huntington’s production of Fences.
