Allen Moyer has previously designed Betrayal, Private Lives, Before I Leave You, Educating Rita, and Pterodactyls at the Huntington. His Broadway credits include The Lyons, Lysistrata Jones, After Miss Julie, Grey Gardens (Tony and Drama Desk Award nominations, Henry Hewes Award), Thurgood, The Little Dog Laughed, and The Constant Wife. He has numerous Off Broadway and regional credits including Far From Heaven (Playwrights Horizons), Giant (The Public Theater/NYSF), Passion Play (Goodman Theatre and Yale Repertory Theatre), and productions for the Guthrie Theater, The Old Globe, La Jolla Playhouse, The Stratford Festival (Canada), Long Wharf Theatre, Steppenwolf Theatre Company, Baltimore’s Centerstage, and Center Theatre Group. He has extensive opera credits and most recently designed Die Fledermaus (English National Opera) and Dolores Claiborne (San Francisco Opera). His other opera credits include work for The Metropolitan Opera (Orfeo ed Eurydice, dir. Mark Morris), New York City Opera, Houston Grand Opera, Santa Fe Opera, Canadian Opera Company, Glimmerglass Festival, Opera Theatre of St. Louis, Boston Lyric Opera, Scottish Opera, and the Wexford Festival Opera (Ireland). Mr. Moyer is the recipient of the 2006 Obie Award for Sustained Excellence.
